Aug. 2-4: Youth Float Trip on the Niangua River @ Lebanon

Sept. 11-13: Youth Fall Retreat @ Lake of the Ozarks

Dear Parents,

Wow! Summer is going by very fast and it’s not going to slow down soon. We had a great experience at Student Life Camp and World Changers. We have a Back-to-School Bash scheduled in August at Eric and Marla Weirman’s house in Peculiar (details will be handed out to students on Sundays and Wednesdays coming up soon.)

The Youth Float Trip has been  rescheduled for August 2-4, due to the many conflicts with the student and adult schedules. We will go to Lebanon and will float on the Niangua River.  We will be leaving right after the second service on Sunday the 2nd of August. We will get lunch on our way there. The cost has also changed to $50! This will cover 2 nights in cabins, canoe, and their food for while they are there. We need the money for the Float Trip by July 26. If this is a difficulty for anyone, please contact me and we will try to make alternate arrangements. Students will also need money for meals on the way down and back.We will be staying in a lodge so there should be bedding for most students, however I would encourage students to bring some bedding and inflatable mattresses just in case we need to put some on the floor. The packing needs to be light for this trip as we will not have much storage space when traveling, 1 bag plus bedding should be sufficient. We should be leaving Lebanon by 10am and return home Tuesday, between 2pm and 3pm. It will be necessary for each student to have a medical release form filled out and notarized in order for them to go on the float trip. Forms are available in the office. The swimsuit rules will be enforced, no bikinis but one piece and tankinis are acceptable if they cover the midriff.  I will not have much access to email the week before the trip, but if you have a question I will try to respond if I am able.

Thank you all and God bless,

Nathan Smith
