conventions have trained more than 24,000 volunteers to respond to
national disasters, often in cooperation with the American Red
Cross. Trained volunteers affiliate with task-specific disaster
relief units operated by state conventions. Responsibilities
include food preparation, cleanup and recovery, repair and
rebuild, communications, crisis counseling, water purification,
and shower units." (Statement from the Missouri

Construction
of a Missouri Disaster Relief Trailer
|
B.G.
Johnson recently constructed a trailer for use by the Missouri
Disaster Relief program in conjunction with the Red Cross,
Salvation Army and North American Mission Board. Funds for the
construction of the trailer were provided through donations
received by the Blue River-Kansas City Baptist Association in
response to a newsletter article published by the Association. Pictures of the construction progress are
shown below.
B.G. is a member of the First Baptist Church of
Raymore, Missouri. We appreciate the extensive mission work he
does in service for the Lord. If you would like to speak with B.G.
about the work being done by the Missouri Disaster Relief Team and
ways you can get involved, you may contact him by phone at
