“A LIFE OF SERVICE”

Matthew 20:26

[26] It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to

       become great among you must be your servant.

Mark 10:45

[45] For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and

        to give His life a ransom for many.”

Building for Eternity means that I use all of my Life in Service for Him.

1.  I WAS “CREATED” FOR SERVICE.

Ephesians 2:10

[10] For we are His making, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

       which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

2.  I AM “SAVED” FOR SERVICE.

II Timothy 1:9

[9]   Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to

       our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was

       given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

3.  I'VE BEEN “CALLED BY GOD TO SERVICE.

Galatians 1:15

[15] But when God, who from my mother’s womb set me apart and called

       me by His grace…

Ephesians 4:1

[1] I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the

calling you have received.

4.  I'VE BEEN “GIFTED” FOR SERVICE.

I Peter 4:10

[10] Based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve

       others, as good managers of the varied grace of God.

5.  I AM “COMMANDED” TO SERVE OTHERS.

Matthew 20:28

[28] Just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life-a ransom for many.

6.  IT PROVES THAT I “BELONG” TO CHRIST.

Romans 7:4

[4] Therefore, my brothers, you also were put to death in relation to the

      law through the crucified body of the Messiah, so that you may

      belong to another-to Him who was raised from the dead-that we may

      bear fruit for God.

7.  MY CHURCH FAMILY “NEEDS” MY SERVICE.

I Corinthians 12:27

[27] Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

8.  SERVING OTHERS IS THE WAY TO “SERVE GOD”.

Colossians 3:23-24

[23] Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the

       Lord and not for men

[24] Knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the

       Lord-you serve the Lord Christ.

9.  BECAUSE I OWE “EVERYTHING” TO CHRIST.

Romans 12:1

[1] Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your

     bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your

     spiritual worship.

10.  BECAUSE SERVICE MAKES LIFE “MEANINGUFL”.

Mark 8:35

[35] For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his

       life because of me and the gospel will save it.

I Corinthians 15:58

[58] Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always

        abounding in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord

        is not in vain.

11.  I WILL BE HELD “ACCOUNTABLE” FOR MY SERVICE.

Romans 14:12

[12] So, then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

12.  BECAUSE I WILL BE “REWARDED” FOR ETERNITY.

John 12:26

[26] If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me. Where I am, there My servant also will be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Matthew 25:23

[23] His master said to him, “Well done, good and faithful salve! Your

       were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many

       things. Enter your master’s joy.

Psalm 86:11

[11] Teach me Your way, LORD, and I will live by Your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.
