RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD!

Romans 3:21-31

                 Paul started in Romans 1:18 - 3:20 dealing with unrighteousness. In Romans 3: 21 and following he now tells the church at Rome what it means to be righteous before God.

                 What qualifies you to stand in His presence?

                

 RIGHTEOUSNESS MEANS….

 

I. A RIGHT STANDING BEFORE GOD.

 

    Justification is an act, not a process.

    Justification is what God does not man

    Justification means that God declares us righteous

 

 II. JUSTIFICATON IS APART FROM THE LAW. (v. 21)

 

    Under the OT law righteousness came by man behaving

    Under the Gospel righteousness comes by believing

 

III. IN CHRIST ALONE!  (v. 22)

 

     Trust in God is not what saves you.

     Personal, individual faith in Jesus Christ alone saves and

     justifies lost sinners.

 

 IV. GOOD NEWS FOR All MEN!  (Romans 3:10 v. 23)

 

     The reason all men come is sin and glory.

      God’s divine presence and communication was cut off by sin.

 

V. SALVATION WAS NOT CHEAP! (vs. 24-26)

 

    Propitiation, Redemption, and Blood express the price God paid

    for our salvation.

    Day of Atonement

    God is perfect in His JUSTICE!

 

VI. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LAW! (27-31)

 

     God obeyed His own law by working out the plan of Salvation!
