When God Gives Up!

Romans 1:18-3:20

                The theme of Romans is the righteousness of God, but Paul had to begin with the Unrighteousness of man.

                 Until a man knows he is a sinner, he cannot appreciate the grace and salvation God offers in Jesus Christ.

                Paul’s begins with the Law and condemnation; then moves to Grace and Salvation.

 

I. GENTILES ARE GUILTY!                                                 (Romans 1:18-32)

1. God created man as an INTELLIGENT being.                  (18-20)

2. Man exchanged Intelligence for IGNORANCE                   (21-23)

3. Man’s ignorance led to INDULGENCE                               (24-27)

4. Man’s indulgence lived out led to IMPENITENCE               (28-32)

 

II. JEWS ARE GULITY!                                                         (Romans 2:1-3:8)

1. Look at the Gentiles                                                           (2:1-3)

2. Look at your  “BLESSING”                                                (2:4-11)

3. Look at God’s Law                                                              (2:12-24)

4. Look at God’s covenant Mark                                            (2:25-29)

5. Look at Paul’s conclusion                                                  (3:1-8)

 

III. THE WHOLE WORLD IS GUILTY!                                  (Romans 3:9-20)

1. Our PICTURE is not pretty.                                                   (Psalm 14:1- 3)

2. Our SPEECH reveals our DECEITFULNESS!                    (3:13-14)

3. Our FEET run down the wrong path.                                    (3:15-16)

4. Our MIND does not know God’s peace.                                (3:17)

5. Our PRIDE blinds us.                                                              (3:18)

 

MESSAGE FROM GOD’S WORD
